AMARI’s business associate GRS group is the sole providers of the MIMDAS technology, which was the first electrical geophysical system to be developed around a ‘distributed’ design philosophy. A philosophy which provides a much greater degree of flexibility in survey design, allowing for the routine collection of full 3D electrical geophysical data.
MIMDAS also provides advantages in the areas of signal processing and a flexible operating environment which allows for the collection of all types of electrical geophysical data including Resistivity/IP, AMT, CSAMT and EM. MIMDAS was also the first system capable of quantitatively calculating and removing telluric noise from electrical data.
Currently it is the only system operating in the world that can offer this service. GRS has one operating crew in Australia and two in South America. We have carried out surveys for BHP Billiton, Anglo gold Ashanti (Tropicana prospect, WA), Boddington Management Company (Boddington Gold Mine), WMC (Olympic Dam), Teck (Carrapateena and Lennard Shelf), Inco (Sudbury), Barrick, Antofagasta Minerals and many others.
